Sanjeonghosu Lake: Artificial Lake

Tuesday, November 17, 2009 - - 2 Comments

On your return journey to Seoul, you may want to stop off at Sanjeonghosu Lake, an artificial lake built by Japanese engineers during Japan's colonial occupation of Korea. This is a popular skating spot in wintertime, and for most of the year it's a splendid area for hiking (there are numerous hiking trails in the woods around the lake), boating and relaxation. Look out for the large colorful tents which serve as dance halls.
